Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International has provided this privacy policy because we value your right to privacy. This policy describes the types of information Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International gathers from its users and how that information is used. Information we collect
1. Non-Member users
We encourage you to register with us in order to take advantage of our Member services. However, you may choose not to register and still have full access to most of our site.
If you do not register, then the information we collect from you is limited. We log your IP address in order to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Web site and track usage statistics. Your IP address may vary each time you visit, or it may be the same, depending on whether you access our site through an always-on type of Internet connection (e.g., cable modem or DSL), or through a dial-up connection (e.g., AOL or Earthlink). Either way, it would be extremely difficult for us to identify you through your IP address, and we make no attempt to do so. If you reached our site by clicking on a link or advertisement on another site, then we also log that information. This helps us to maximize our Internet exposure, and to understand the interests of our users. All of this information is collected and used only in the aggregate; that is, it is entered into our database, where we can use it to generate overall reports on our visitors, but not individual reports.
When you visit our site, we DO NOT place files known as a "cookies" on your computer's hard drive.
2. Registered Members
We encourage you to register so that you can experience everything Membership has to offer! We offer three Membership options, with each option being formatted to assist with specific Member interests. The Member options include; Last Minute Members, Hotel Promotion Members and Elite Members.

If you become a registered Member, we will collect personal information from you. That information may include your name, mailing address, Zip or Postal code, telephone number, travel preferences, user name and password. The information we collect may vary, but we only collect the information that you manually enter into our forms.
How we use the information we collect
We will only use the information we collect in the way you want us to! Although we usually only collect your email address, in some cases, you may decide that you would like us to provide you with additional information automatically. For example, if you are interested in information on a particular hotel property, you may want us to notify you if we locate any additional information about it. We would do that by sending you an e-mail. We might also use the information to enable us to notify you of special offers, hotel promotions, and last minute deals and for similar reasons. However, we will do so only if you specifically authorize us to. We may also use the information you provide to allow us to contact you for administrative purposes, for example, to tell you about changes to our privacy policy.
You can cancel your Membership with us by e-mailing cancel@hoteltropicana.com, and placing your email address in the subject of the e-mail. We will send you an e-mail to confirm your request. After we receive confirmation, we will remove your information from our databases, but some information may remain in our archives. We may not be able to remove your information from our partners' databases, if we have transmitted any information to them.
Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International has partnered with very reputable third parties to offer our members and site visitors a variety of products and services. All travel services throughout HotelTropicana.com that are provided by a third-party partner are described as such. Although we only work with reputable third parties, our business partners may have different privacy policies and practices than HotelTropicana.com. We encourage you to review our business partners' privacy policies to further understand their procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing your information.
Occasionally, Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International may offer our members and site visitors an opportunity to participate in a contest or sweepstakes. Information collected by Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International when you participate in a contest or sweepstakes may include your full name, e-mail address, and street address.
Disclosure of your information
Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International does not sell or rent any personally identifiable information to any third party, other than our partners, as discussed in this policy. We may aggregate personal information from all of our users and provide that information in the aggregate to other parties, including advertisers, for marketing and promotional purposes. However, if we do so, that information will not be in a form that will allow any third party to identify you personally.
As you might expect, Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International must cooperate with legal authorities, and may in some circumstances be required to disclose personally identifiable information in response to requests from law enforcement authorities, or in response to a subpoena or other legal process. We don't expect this to happen, but if it does, we will provide only the information required. In other words, we will not simply turn over our database in response to a specific legal requirement. We can also turn over information about you if we believe we must in order to prevent a violation of the law, and by accepting this policy, you consent to our doing so, in our sole discretion. You also consent to our disclosing information about you in the course of legal proceedings if we are legally required to do so, if we reasonably believe that doing so may mitigate our liability, or if doing so will assist us in enforcing our legal rights.
Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International works a variety of related companies and we may disclose the information you provide us to them, and in each case we have requested them to abide by this policy.
Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International has taken extensive measures to secure the information you provide to us. However, there is a remote possibility that internet transmissions containing your personal information may be intercepted by others. There is no way for us to ensure the privacy of your information before it arrives at our site or after it leaves our site. Sensitive information such as Credit Card Numbers and Expiration Dates should not be sent through the email system.
For your added security, Hotel Tropicana Hotels & Resorts International does not process credit card transactions internally, nor do we retain any credit card information in any of our databases. All real time room reservations are managed by or booking engine partners and all requested reservations are managed by the reservation staff at each of the individual hotels.
We reserve the right to change this policy should we deem it advisable to do so. If we make significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the changes and to give you the opportunity to cancel your Membership.
